  • Throughout the year, the School Counseling Department hosts events geared towards the current needs of our high school families.

    Our Evenings of Insights…

    The Counseling Department is excited to announce a series of invaluable evening programs designed to support our students and their families. These sessions will cover a range of crucial topics, including navigating the high school transition, navigating high school as it is happening, understanding the college application and review process, and providing insight into what happens behind the scenes in admissions committees. We encourage all parents and students to join us for these informative events, which are specifically tailored to equip you with the knowledge and tools needed for academic success and future planning.

    VIRTUAL–From Now to Next:  Admissions to AidSept. 10 (6:30-7:30pm) Target audience: 12th graders/families.  Join us for an evening with Nicholas Salinas, the Director of Financial Aid from Sarah Lawrence College.

    VIRTUAL—Partnering for Success: Your Freshman's First Quarter–Nov. 13 (6:30-7:30pm) Target audience: 9th graders/families.  This program often covers topics like graduation requirements, course selection for the next year,  and how to best support their ninth grader during this foundational year.

    Video Release–Course Selection Overview–Release date Dec. 15 -Target audience: 8-11th grade families:  Watch the Counselors present the Course offerings for the 2026-2027 school year.

    VIRTUAL-Crafting Your College Application: Insights from AdmissionsJan. 15 (6:30-7:30pm) Target audience: 11th graders/families. Join us for our annual College Panel!  More details to come…

    VIRTUAL–Laying the Underclass GroundworkMarch 12 (6:30-7:30pm) Target audience: 10th graders/families.  Get ready 10th graders—you are about to be an Upperclass student.  What does that mean?  This evening will provide parents with a clear roadmap for the remaining 2 years of high school, covering topics like course selection, standardized testing, and college and career readiness planning.

    VIRTUAL–Admissions Committee Deep DiveMay 14 (6:15-7:30pm) Target audience: 9-11th graders/families.  Ever wonder what it is like to sit on an Admission Committee?  Join us and our expert panelists as they walk us through a Mock admission Panel.  Together we will unpack the applications and Admit, Defer and Deny 3 applicants. 

    VIRTUAL–Your High School Head StartJune 11 (6:30-7:30pm) Target audience: 8 to 9th graders/families.  Join Ms. Pulice for a night of High School introductions with some words of wisdom for our expert panelists!
